Materials
L2 Marine

L2 Marine material was initially launched into the rudder market in 2001 and has since been installed and successfully operated on over 1,000 vessels, both new and repair, on various shaft sizes up to 1.25 m diameter.
ACM L2 Marine is the only single synthetic composite material available that has
classification approval for both lubricated and dry operation, making it the ideal
rudder bearing material.
Other applications include; deck machinery equipment, offshore mooring systems, steering gear, stern roller bearings, water tight door bearings, stave type bearings and many more. L2 Marine can also be used as
water lubricated propeller shaft bearings for river and workboats.
LNF
LNF material has been developed to enhance the ACM Bearings Ltd range of materials. LNF is now specified and has been supplied for both new build and spares into many navies worldwide for
water lubricated bracket and stern tube bearings in surface vessels and submarines.
The results of testing have proved conclusively that LNF has superior bearing characteristics when compared to similar nylon and elastomeric type materials currently in use. LNF can be supplied fully machined for new build or spares, replacing rubber/cotton stave bearings, and elastomeric or nylon type shell bearings.
ACM 811
A direct replacement for bronze or steel pads. This material was developed specifically to for onboard pad applications such as
container support pads.
